Francophonie en fête
Francophonie en fête is a non-profit organization which celebrates the diversity of Francophone and Francophile communities in Greater Toronto Area by organizing and promoting plenty of cultural events all year long, in collaboration with the major francophone organizations of Toronto such as Alliance Française, Assemblée de la Francophonie de l'Ontario, Ontario Art Council, College Boreal, Viamonde or Conseil scolaire catholique.
Francophonie en fête is 100% run by volunteers !
"Des sons à profusion" - "Sounds galore"
"Des sons à profusion" is the 11th edition of our music festival: the celebration of the Francophone's culture as rich by its diversity and proud by its history.
Every year, beyond the well-known artists, we look for new Canadians singers and musicians to showcase their talent to the public.
This year, let us introduce you 20 artists from eclectic musical sensibilities: folk, rock, blues, soul, hip hop, reggae, Afro pop... including:
- Michel Rivard - a celebrated Quebecois singer-songwriter for 35 years
- Mélanie Brulée - a great talent for composing rock and folk melodies
- Céleste Lévis - the winner of 2013 Ontario Pop Edition
For the Franco-Ontarian day (September 25th) will set free concerts and activities in the major centre in Toronto, HTO Park!
During the festival, we also offer special musical workshops to 1,200 teenagers (12-17 years):
- 6 educational workshops to familiarize them with musical comedies, traditional music and dance from Africa, improv theatre...
- 2 seminars provided by the leader of Swing band, Michel Bénac
